By using the Arc & Ledger website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
1. Services Provided
Arc & Ledger provides tax preparation, tax advisory, bookkeeping, IRS representation, compliance filings, and related services. Our principal, Burak Genç, is an IRS Enrolled Agent (EA), federally licensed by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before the IRS.
Arc & Ledger is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Our E-2 visa services cover only the tax and financial compliance aspects of the E-2 visa process. Immigration legal advice — including visa eligibility, admissibility, and petition strategy — must be obtained from a licensed immigration attorney.
Submitting an inquiry through our website does not create a client relationship. An engagement begins only after both parties have agreed to a written engagement letter and any required deposit has been received.
2. Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and timely information. Arc & Ledger prepares returns and other deliverables based solely on information you provide. We do not independently verify the accuracy of client-supplied data.
- You must review all prepared documents carefully before signing or submitting them.
- You must notify us promptly of any changes to your tax situation during an engagement.
- You are responsible for maintaining your own copies of all documents and returns.
3. Limitation of Liability
Our services are performed based on information you provide. Arc & Ledger is not liable for IRS penalties, interest, audits, or other adverse outcomes that result from inaccurate, incomplete, or untimely information supplied by the client.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Arc & Ledger's total liability to any client is limited to the total fees actually paid for the specific service at issue. Arc & Ledger is not liable for consequential, indirect, incidental, special, or punitive damages of any kind.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for damages caused by our own gross negligence or willful misconduct.
4. Payment Terms
Service fees are as described on the applicable service page at the time of engagement. A non-refundable engagement deposit may be required to begin work; any deposit paid is credited in full against the final invoice for that engagement.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Arc & Ledger does not store your payment card data. Late or unpaid balances may result in suspension of services until resolved.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including guides, articles, templates, graphics, and software — is the property of Arc & Ledger and is protected by U.S. copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any of this content without our prior written permission.
6. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services will be resolved by binding arbitration, not in court. Arbitration will be conducted in Los Angeles County, California, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Each party bears its own costs and fees unless the arbitrator orders otherwise.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
8. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be narrowed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining Terms will stay in full effect.
